I got a copy of Summer Games a few years back in a big lot of games on eBay (before people cared about rarity :P) and I haven't been reading the boards in a while. Now I'm reading some recent posts here and apparently it became rare. I always thought it was a common title. If it's a really rare cart I'll gladly trade it straight up for an NTSC Commando... :D

When I put one up for a trade, an AtariAge user instantly offered me $10 on the spot and I took the deal. I've seen them go on eBay for more though so I suspect they're "less common" than other 7800 games.

On Ebay, "rare" is the most abused word in the dictionary! ;-)

It isn't as common as the 80 cent O'Sheas games that regularly get labelled as "RARE" on Ebay, but isn't as rare as the Froggo Games that also get labelled as "rare" on Ebay. ;-)

Summer games is what I would call uncommon. Just try to find one on ebay. They do not come up that often.

Does this mean I got lucky? Or do you think that the seller's going to try to sneak a fast one and send me a 2600 "Summer Games" instead? :)

yeah without a picture, anything goes. Most sellers don't know the difference between 2600 and 7800. Hopefully, since a bunch of them are 7800 games you'll get lucky but who here hasn't seen that white Summer Games cart with lots of 7800 games :)
