Just got yet another 5200 question

The unit i recieved is in a smaller version box and says supersystem,it has 4 ports but the ac plug in is on the unit itself and i dont need the switcher box,its not modded the power port is from the manufactorer its a cx5200 is this rare.

I dont have any rite now but i will take some this evening,have you heard of this the ac port is definetly factory,the video cord is thin like the 2600.

Some people do mod 5200 for on board power. I've done two so far.

I have heard of this before but I've never personally seen one. I think Tempest may own one.

Hey, Mitch... I've seen this before... Take a look at the following thread I started last year:

Does it look like the one I have in the pictures of the first thread?

Also, Does it say "Atari Inc" or "Atari Corp" on the bottom (again, see my pictures).

From the ones I've seen (which are few), the modified ones say Atari Corp, as this is after Atari Inc was broken up and the Tramiels took it over...

let us know what you find. I'm curious to know!

Yes, the first link is a factory modded original 4 port.

Unless the OP takes some pics of the inside of his 5200 it's hard to say what he has.

Im to lazy to take a picture the unit is packed away,the ac port on it looks exactly factory,meaning the opening is factory molded opening in the case,i dont know how i have a 4 port were the power plugs rite into the unit?

I just read the above post with the pics,mine does say atari corporation spelled out and the video is thin exactly like the 2600 wire. Auwsome gota rare system.

Oh sorry forgot to add my vcs adapter does not work with it,unless its broken i just bought it and it was untested so it may be broken.

Power mod does not mean it was modded for VCS adapter use.
Word is the serial number would have a * if the 4 port was factory modified to use the VCS adapter.
