Well nobody has mentioned Humans, which has to be one of the most obscure games for the genesis! I remember back when I played (let me go gran my password sheet from 20 years ago LOL) ok I got stuck on level 51 "keep your wits about you".

 

This is a caveman game where you use spears and rope to navigate the course to save fellow caveman. You use you fellow cavemen to stack on top of each other as ladders and you even get a witch doctor to sacrifice cavemen to make rope and what nor lol.

 

Another good game was rocket knight adventures.

Reapermans Oddball

Avoid the spikes to keep your ball alive!

Score resets to zero after hitting spike and additional spikes appear on-screen!

Steer LEFT and RIGHT with the directional pad. Press UP to slightly stall your decent.

 

Tested on Kega Fusion just fine. Not tested on real Genesis. It's my lunchbreak for Pete's sake!

I find some of these games are classics and some have been ported in other consoles. But i say Boogerman and Comix Zone are one of my first titles to play. Then i was hooked on Virtual Bart and Haunting because they were so fun and funny. You will have a blast playing these titles.
