retroillucid
CollectorVision | Summer News | 2012 Since the begining of 2012, we have been able to release 8 new games and we also released the ColecoVision Arcade Controller, but that doesn't end here! Major news, we changed the way we will take order in the futur, instead of pre-ordering, we decided to sell the games when everything will be ready to ship and not a day before. Too much things can happen while manufacturing games that can cause delay in production and also shipping Talking about shipping, Toby (coleco_master) is now taking care of that. Toby is reliable, fast but also a real gentlemen Now, onto the upcoming stuff! You probably already knew, we worked on a ''Top Secret'' project for the 30th Anniversary... don't you? We will release it in about 2-3 weeks ..... stay tune! Only 30 CIBs will be available, no more will be ever made In August, there's some games coming up! Here's the titles - Quiz Wiz *30th Anniversary of ColecoVision Edition* - Zombie Near - Chess Challenger (Finally! ...30 years later! ) - Elevator Action (Late August) - Bugs n Bots (Late August) In September - Pang - Lock n Chase There's also RollerBall wich will be release at the same time the Opcode SuperGame Module will get release The SGM will be necessary to play RollerBall The Arcade Controller/Pinball Controller is optional , Regular Controller can be used For the rest of the year, we hope to be able to release some more games but nothing is set in the stone.....yet! Here's some games we hope to be able to release before the end of the year - HelliFire - Donkey Kong 3 - Lethal Ninja (Tentative Title ) So that's it for now!

Indeed, now the goal is to achieve Opcode's standard. DK3 must not look lame compared to Opcode's DK and later DKjr We have to make an awesome CV version out of it Only time will tell us.....
opcode
Mighty impressive lineup, I must say. And considering Mario Bros, I am sure DK3 will be a killer port. Hopefully we will be covering some of that in the upcoming Opcode Experience #2.
retroillucid
Mighty impressive lineup, I must say. 20 games only in 2012, I think that was too much after all ALOT of works has been put onto those projects, and to be honest, I was not sure I would be able to release all those games in a year. But looks like we're on the way to made it! Alot of works has been put also in the Arcade Controller, I now have much more respect in those developing new retro hardware I can imagine how much works must have been done in your SGM ... And considering Mario Bros, I am sure DK3 will be a killer port. Thanks Eduardo, I do really appreciate Hopefully we will be covering some of that in the upcoming Opcode Experience #2. Sure thing! NIAD
That is an incredible lineup of games that you are planning to release in the coming months and one that I think even Coleco (circa 1982/1983) would be pretty envious of and hard pressed to release in that timeframe even with hundreds of employees and millions of dollars at their disposal. I hope all goes as planned and there are no roadblocks along the way for you... Good Luck! Also, great to hear about the new setup for orders and shipping. I'm sure this will make a lot of propective buyers very happy as well.
opcode
...hard pressed to release in that timeframe even with hundreds of employees and millions of dollars ... I guess CollectionVision still doesn't have hundreds of employees (though I suppose it is getting close), but you can bet the millions of dollars are there... If only! seriously, takes alot of time, patience and mostly, a sweet wife who understand my addiction to Coleco That lead me to think that I never put her name in the Special Thanks.... She truly deserve it afterall That also take devoted peoples hardworking in every project I trow at them.... Specially my dear friend 5-11under This guy is simply awesome, nothing would be possible without him! There's also all the programmers who work closely with me helping me feeding all the addict CV fans There's Michel Louvet, Jean-Phillipe Meloa, Oscar Toledo and Mike the Programming Wizard, also a new one, Nicolas S. And for sure, thanks to Toby aka coleco_master , this guy will get your stuff in your mailbox faster than ever before! He's also working closely with me on pretty much all projects now Thanks for all buddy!
