+davidcalgary29
I recently purchased a copy of Fat Bobby from a eBay seller and am trying to determine if my copy is a proto. The title screen indicates an Atari copyright -- not Telegames -- and it has a cheat option that's accessible from the title screen. I don't have an 'official' Telegames copy -- can someone advise if the Telegames version has these features?
chris_lynx1989
No,it doesn't. It sounds like you have a magazine review copy or a CES one.
+davidcalgary29
Ew, this game is about as much fun to play as Gordo 106, one of my least favourite games for the Lynx. I wonder if Telegames didn't disable the cheat feature in their release? Can you check to see if the cheat mode is triggered by pressing Option 2 + 'B' on the first screen? I'll check my copy here. i'd not heard of a cheat in it before.
Atari_afternoon
The Hot Dog prototype game, I think programmed by the same guys as Fat Bobby, has indeed a similar "god mode" feature. Would be interesting to know if you really have something to us new there, i.e. a similar evaluation version, it seems so, I cannot remember this from the normal Fat Bobby game
+davidcalgary29
This was from the same Atari employee from whom Mr. Bland acquired his copy of Reversi. There's another cheat mode available on my copy of Fat Bobby which allows you to skip levels by pressing 'B' and 'up' at the same time. In this game, that's a godsend.
