Kickass! Konami finally announced the new Castlevania for the Playstation 2. Console Gold has the scoop: http://www.consolego...ex.shtml#castle

There's been some talk about sequels and rehashes lately, but a new Castlevania I certainly don't mind :)
Anyone else looking forward to it?

Man I hope they style the game like Rygar for PS2 I think that it'd be perfect for transforming another side scrolling 2-d game.

But yeah that's just MY opinion and yes I will be buying it no matter what.

No. It MUST come out for Gamecube. I mean, my first 3 Castlevania games were on a Nintendo product! Come on!

This surprises me alot...

People here may know that I love Nintendo. Alot. Maybe more than some of you love Atari (but probably not.) But I think I'm the only one that doesn't want to play Castlevania on a GC/ with a GC pad. I just got used to SotN on my Dual Shock (which disconnects every 30 seconds or so, thank you for crappy hardware Sony!)

Why? Imagine playing a Castlevania or other side-scroller with a GC controller. The button config would be fine, but I can't see it with an analog stick. I guess it's just personal. But those SNES looking controllers might be an answer.

But will Konami support all systems fairly and give the GC more than Disney Sports titles? No, they don't like to be fair. That's why Substance is on everything but the Cube (xbox, ps2, pc, and for the hell of it, maybe it'll make it to the GBA).

Ultimately I don't care if it comes out for box/cube/ps2 as I have them all. It's just good to have another Castlevania in the works, period :) Although I do think I'd prefer playing it with my DualShock, I'm most comfortable with that one...

Another link for those that didn't/couldn't read the initial link, this time from konami's site itself: http://www.konami.co.../releases.shtml

Next to Capcom, the waving colors were my favorite logo in all of gaming. Yes, that's right, more than Atari. Actually I miss the old Electronic Arts logo the most, with the three colored 3-D shapes.

Well I guess I'll be the only one to say it but I hope it stays 2-D, I think the 3-D N64 version sucked in only the most horrible sense of the word. I still love SOTN, got my saturn only to play Dracula-X.

Here it is. It's being made for the Game Boy Player, and probably won't even be usable for GC games, since there's no c-stick or analog stick/analog shoulder buttons. It might come to America, and if so will be pretty cheap (probably $15 or so.)

If they paid me enough I'd work for them. Hell I'd work for anyone for the right price! :D
But really I'd rather the game came out for GC or XBox. I don't know how I'll bring myself to play it on the PoS2. When I want to play a game I go to the XBox first, because my best current gaming experiences have been with it. Although I just got Eternal Darkness cheap and I can't wait to play it! :)

But... that doesn't make much sense... if it was only meant for the Gameboy thing, then why would they stick X and Y buttons on it?

Without analog sticks, it won't be usable for ALL games, but any games that work with the digital stick will probably work fine with this I imagine... Although unless it's cheap, I certainly wouldn't pay for something I could only use for certain games...
