well it's not really dc exclusive. I need to know how to straighten a metal rod.
I don't know how this happened but the lens drive shaft thing is bent :?
My only repair option is to buy a replacement GD-rom drive (you can buy
lens's and motherboards but not the mechanical components i.e: THIS)
This seems to be the biggest problem and mabye the reason the disks don't
spin up to speed.So I might be able to fix it (and just when I bought a new DC. LOL)

Any RC model people here, they should know how to do this. :)

Man, the only sources I could find for extremely weird stuff like that were not willing to ship to Australia. :(

Would you be able to get one of these things for me? I could pay to have
it shipped here, I mean you could put it in an envolope and stick a stamp on
it, it's so small. :)
