It seems that in 83 and 84 when they were doing the 7800 that they wanted to make it the true atari arcade experience, brought home to you and so then the very first games for the 7800 were all classic atari and namco arcade games that had been staples of the 2600 and 5200 for years like the first games out were asteroids, centipede, dig dug, joust, pole position II, ms pac man, galaga, robundrun, and all them games. if you look at all those cool games for the 2600 that were big in the 1981-1983 time you see that the 7800 has most of them but the most obvious one missing is Missile Command does anyone know why this is? I think missile command could have been stellar on the 7800. same with star raiders but they did have that on the XE at least. -Joe

I think it would have been an obvious game. Especially with a two button controller, you could have three missile towers just like the arcade, left for left fire, right for right fire, and both for middle fire.

Maybe It just got lost, I'm pretty sure it was advertised to come in early mags and catalogs.

Is it possible to create a Missile Command for the 7800? What difficulties would there be?

AFAIK it was planned but just never came out. Who knows if it was even started.

Jeez, a question from someone who "knows all there is...about Atari"?
And what the HELL is "robundrun"?
