http://www.atariage....mID=7800#cat1_2 but I would recommend a SEGA Genesis 1 power supply instead of a 2600 one. 2600 power supplies sometimes have problems running 7800s.

I got it working in the end :) now she runs off either, Genesis psu, 2600 psu as well as it's own psu, when I get one things should be fine, I hate non standard connectors lol...

Just a word of advice, if you convert your 7800 to run off different supplies, just solder some suitable wire onto to actual pins at the back of the original socket, don't take them from underneath the board, the pins are very easily joined together if you solder your wires from there.

Then take your feed to a socket that best suits your psu, don't change the original socket, it's just not worth it, cos you never know when you might get hold of an orignal psu, this is probably common knowledge? but I thought I'd just mention it...
