Hallo!

I found a Desert Strike Cartridge in a design that isn't listed at the rarity guide. What do you think of it?

I think Telegames obtained the right to reprint some games. That's their cartridge design I believe. They wanted something to destinguish it from originals I guess, or the flat card is easier to make than the standard bent ones. Could be wrong though, I haven't personally located any of them, it could be worth something.

Yes, I hope it is worth something. Desert Strike does not come over very often at ebay (in Europe). Maybe, that this cartridgestyle was only offered in Europe? Don't know...

It's not that rare, because you can still buy it new from Telegames.

Really rare is the curved lip version (standard Lynx cart design) of this game, which is older.

My version from Telegames is a DIP ROM (~8 mos ago).
I say your's is definitely unique - perhaps a transistion batch?
I have Fat Bobby, Hyperdrome and Bubble Trouble in this format.

This game KICKS ASS on the Lynx!!!

Is it really that rare? That's the version I have. I got it several years ago from Toys "R" Us, when they were clearing it out for $9.99.

The Lynx version is a great conversion of a great game.

yes, telegames picked up the rights to many of the released lynx games
and are now re-releasing them on the icd-style card format.some six or
more have been re-released this way:super asteroids/missle command,
checkered flag,battlezone 2000,bubble trouble,lynx casino,super off road,
krazy ace miniature golf and hyperdrome are the ones i've seen thus far.
are there some i've missed?i may have left out warbirds too.--chris
