This is a good one! I wish it had come out those years ago. The Lynx could have used a good fighting game!

I'm assuming this is an April Fools joke but I would have guessed that the download .lnx file does something other than crash my copy of Handy...anyone?

Hello,

which version of Handy do you use?
I think if the game-image is provided in LNX-format (the format to which
a ROM-image has to be converted to be able to run it with Handy), then
the person who did this has tested it succesfully.
Is there only the LNX-file available? Or the plain ROM-image too?
If the plain ROM-image is available too, than you could convert
it on your own easily.

What!? I've been bamboozled! I thought it was real! Wait, I'm sure it is. I haven't played with the ROM yet though.

Hmmm... :D

Such a waste. All the effort it took to make that joke could have produced a real game.

Ah, I didn't know anyone celebrated April Fools anymore until I started hanging around here.

Good one, Gregory! I got a laugh out of it! I was sure it was fake until I read the article and downloaded the ROM. So you got me!

Hehe very good one :P I wish it was´nt a joke. A Mortal Kombat game to the Lynx would be great. But I think Ultravore is going to be a very nice game and we already has Pit Fighter, even if no one likes that game except Sauron ;)

Well, a lot of credit goes to Ethan Nobles, who actually did write that article. Oh, and Matthias Domin for creating the ROM. Oh, and Greg Omi who gave his ok to use his name. All I did was make the screenshots and massage the article a bit.

Hmmm...

Any ideas for next year? I think I have one.

I don't think I took that long to port breakout to the NGPC. And it's easier to create Lynx sprites than NGPC tiles.

My work was less than two hours, spread over the 3 days Gregory mentioned. And 3 days were needed because of the time zone difference.
Thankfully he had done a good job on the graphics, i just had to run SPRPCK on them.

Matthias
