this was only a demo for the ces shows,i think.it never got past the alpha
stage like heavyweight contender,720,vindicators,full court press, rolling
thunder and a few others.some demos of this stuff do exist on the lynx
dev kit stuff.some are only stills and others may be a few(12)animated
screens.one or two only run for 30 seconds or less(in the case of the lynx
design exercise demo "pounce" for instance).some were only "wow factor"
things the tramiels showed for good public relations at the shows to help
stock value increase(i've been told this)for their benefit.usually after these
things were announced they had their plug pulled or they faded away and
were not mentioned again.some of the game mags would bring them up
from time to time on their write in pages or what ever happened to pages.
most stuff was quietly "canned" and you did not know it unless you called
atari with an inquiry or wrote to them.i wrote to don thomas about stuff on
the lynx several times.

he never had much to say.i got more out of
the guy or gal that answered the phone than him! small wonder,i guess.i
never could deal with atari really.only on speedy order shipments was i at
least satisfied with them! that and the release of a wonderful little gadget
they released called the lynx.they left a lot to be desired otherwise! the
worst game company i've ever dealt with! nintendo has never been a
problem.sega wasn't either.i hated the way sega abandoned the dreamca-
st the way they did.ditto with saturn and the genesis/nomad.nomad was a
great little lynx wannabe.nice handheld unit.nice graphics and all.they did
the same number on the 32x too.release it and drop it like atari.--chris
