Is it just me or is there no point to "Ishido: The Way Of The Stones"? I dont have the manual to this game, neither does AtariAge. I mean, it looks cool, and makes me look intelligent when I play it on my laptop at school, but I can't find much of a point to it.

I have the manual. I can scan it for AA if you're interested. Not that it makes this much of a better game.

I have the game, and I know how to play it, but I still suck at it. It takes a lot of thought to play the game successfully.

I would highly appreciate it if you scanned it. I'd like to know how to play it.

It's been awhile since I've played Ishido but I've beaten it before. I do remember it being hard as hell. I think you have to really like puzzle games to get into it.

If no one else gets around to scanning the manual, somebody PM me and I can do it.

I bought Ishido because 1) It had a cool name and 2) I like Shanghai so I thought I'd like this game, too.

Let's just say I'm still playing Shanghai. :)

I bought it because

a) It had a chick on the cover

and

b) It was $1.95.

I'm a big puzzle fan and I STILL don't really like it. Too many non-intuitive rules. I think it's insanely hard as well. But I should have it scanned tomorrow and I talked with Al about posting it here so we'll see where it goes from there. Anyone who wants it e-mailed can just PM me their address, but the file will likely be very, very large.

The Oracle says:

Quote

Gentle Wind: Like a gentle wind that blows ceaselessly, a clear penetrating mind can achieve great things. The challenge he/she now faces requires gradual and inconspicuous efforts consistently applied. This requires perseverance, subtlety, and clearly defined goals. This leads, not to a dramatic victory, but to an enduring one.
Light stone in the place of authority: carefully considering his/her actions and then proceeding with inner certainty and perseverance, will bring excellent results. His/her thoughtful, yet courageous attitude, leads to success.
