There is a couple of games available for it, not that many at the moment... Check out: http://english.gamepark.com/ I think the games are distributed on Compact Flash cards... not sure though...

It's pretty hard to find any information about it ... only found a few reviews...

is this a system about to lanuch/just lanuched or already been out and pretty much fizzled out in north america

It's a Korean system, but I don't know if they plan to release it in the US or not. Thankfully most of the games are in English since unlike the US most of that part of the world is bi-lingual (ever notice how many Japanese games are in English? Odd...). I hope they release it in the US, but with Nintendo dominating the market I doubt that will happen.

There's a new front-lit version that costs around $210. Not too bad for a portable emulator with some good dedicated system games.

The GP32 will be released outside Korea, but at this time, nothing is planned for the US :(
Game Park feels that US gamers wouldn't be enough interested, since the GP32 has sold much better in Europe.

The only company that can challenge the Game Boy is Sony. :)

Hi,

The GBA and the GP32 aren't playing in the same category, just look at the software avaible for each machine ;)

but how is the software released by gamepark in general?  i have heard that the games are not that great

Most of the official games are average, but you can count 4 or 5 very good games (from my point of view) :

-Tomak
-Her Knights
-Astonisha Story R (= ASR)
-Mill
-Pinball dreams

More games are coming, but the best ones will be released at the end of the year.

Well the problem with some of the best commercial games for the gp32 is that you need to read Korean to play them.. e.g., Astonishia Story and Mill. The emus and Divx player, on the other hand, make the system worth every cent. Nothing like watching your favorite tv shows and movies while on the road. Granted, you can only fit about 1 minute per meg.. but still it works out quite well.

Yep ASR and Mill are in Korean... But still playable like, say, japanese Rpg :D

An ASR translation is still in the works.

About the DivX player, you can fit a complete film on a 128 Mo SMC card 8)
