I am looking for a Zelda type game for the Gameboy. RPG style play without the boring turn based combat. Anyone have any suggestions? Can be for any Gameboy system.

I've heard Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is a good, Diablo-style RPG (no, Diablo isn't Zelda, but it's an action-based RPG). It looks like there are some other good ones in the works.

There's also two Ultima games for the Gameboy... Runes of Virtue 1 and 2. They're action based RPG with lots of puzzles. They're nothing at all like the computer games.

Harvest Moon? That's kind of a neat little game (though a bit of a departure). Final Fantasy has a couple as well AFAIK.

it is NOT an exact port. Nintendo butchered the story and the music, and they also watered down the difficulty. It's still a solid game, but the NES version is far far better than the Game Boy Color version.
