so here is a list of all the games I have for the Dreamcast!!! I actually dont have that many, but I do have ones that I enjoy playing!

-Quake 3 Arena ( just got it at the PX for only 8 bucks! looks cool!)

-StarWars Episode 1 Racer (they could have made it look so much better!)

-SeaMan ( I still have to spend time with this one)

-NHL 2K (I dont like this game one bit!)

-Space Channel 5 ( I'm not sure why I bought this one)

-Floigan Bros (it looks interesting, if I could just master the controls!)

-The House of the Dead 2 (very cool with my lightgun!)

-ecco the Dolphin (very... interesting...)

-Sega Bass Fishing (actually a good game!)

-Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (the controls are a bit hard)

-Test Drive 6 (not as cool as it could be!)

-Tomb Raider the Last Revelation (I still have to play further into it)

-Atari Anniversary Edition (good game of course!!!)

-Resident Evil Code: Veronica (very very well done game!)

-Namco Museum (Duh! his one is good too!)

-Star Wars Episode 1 Jedi Power Battles (I like this one so far...)

-Crazy Taxi (very very fun)

-Alone in the Dark (I really hate the camera angle crap!)

there we go thats 18 games! not including my Half-Life game which I just made, and the Web Browser that I'd never use! and here is a list of games i want!

Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits Volumes 1 &2
San Francisco Rush 2049 ***VERY BIG ON MY LIST!!***
Phantasy Star Online Ver.2
Unreal Tournament
The Typing of the Dead
18 wheeler
4X4 Evolution
Expendable
illbleed
incoming

what do you guys think? I try to have two of each game, that way i (A.) always have a back up, and, (B.) have one that looks as new as possible to show off! the DC is alot of fun, but there are too many sports games, too many RPGs and too many fighting games made for it. I'm much more of a FPS and racing fan myself. I'm going to go out and stop by my local game stops tommarrow and see ewhat they got going! if any of you guys have some of the games I want at resonable prices I'd e happy to buy them off your hands!

I really like Midway 1 & 2 but I didn't think Atari Anniversary was as good. I enjoyed the interviews with Nolan and seeing all the posters, pins etc but I just didn't think they did that great a job with the games. As an example, Asteroids is almost unplayable for me as everything is so small and I couldn't even see my shots on the screen.

I've also been checking some of the DC online sites and was surprised that quite a few of the games are still up and running. I've recently visited Phantasy Star 1 & 2, Unreal, Bomberman, Speed Devils & Star Lancer and all were still online but very, very empty.

As an aside, I'm looking for the instruction manual for Sega Bass Fishing 2; got everything else (disk & back case insert) but need the instructions. If anyone has a copy or if they want to sell the game complete, please send me a PM.

VidGameKing you need to pick up Ikaruga and Soul Calibur. These are my two fav games for the DC. I still think SC stands up to any modern day fighter and Ikaruga is just plain sweet (hard but sweet).

He'll need a modded DC to play Ikaruga though. Save yourself the hassle and get the same game for Cube, since it's $40 and under.

its just one of those games that managed to suck me in. When i first saw it, i thought that it was a total piece of garbage, but for whatever reason it worked for me. It was cute, but it wasnt full of itself. The funniest part is that im not a big fan of dance games in the first place. The only other music game i got into was samba de amigo, but who doesnt like shaking maracas?

Another game I like that isn't mentioned much is Record of Lodoss War. Very, very nice Diablo clone that I think is very well done. Doesn't have much to do with the Anime series but I still enjoy the game.

I also like Power Stone alot. Never got any good at all with Power Stone 2 as there was just waaaaaay to much going on onscreen at times and my old brain couldn't follow it.

you know what! I'm still really really happy that I can play Half-life on my DC!!!! I never knew it could do that! I mean yeah if the PS2 could do it, of course the DC could, but I mean, WOW! it was never realeased! I think that if HL was released for the DC the DC would still be on the market today, or maybe even a newer Sega console! look how big the waves are from the XBOX's counterstrike, and the PS2's HL! although you know what really sucks! it took Valve and Serria this long to finally get it going on the other systems! I mean Hey! it was ready to go in 2001! and it took them another two years just to get it togehter! thats okay though, Half-Life 2 is coming out soon and that will make my life complete! anyways I'm actually much more of a PC gamer than a console gamer! I love to collect consoles, and in alot of cases there are a really fun game that I want to spend all my time in front of on consoles, but usually I play the PC counter parts because I'm much more familiar with the keyboard and mouse than I am with the joystick.thats why fighter games never really got me going! because it involves too many combanations of buttons to be pressed at one time.

My brother recently got a lot of burned games, and I've been playing through some of them just to see if they're worth buying at some point... especially some of the odd games that don't show up for rent.

I was pleasantly surprised by games like Charge 'n' Blast, Armada, Red Dog, Bangai-O, and Heavy Metal Geomatrix... none of those games seem to get much attention elsewhere, but are quite fun.

Some games I highly recommend pirating (since import prices are stupid): Rez, Ikaruga, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 X, Headhunter, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and Half-Life (Of course, if you happen to have a system that DOES have a North American release, feel free to buy it)

Some other games that I've enjoyed for quite some time: Crazy Taxi, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Wild Metal, Rayman 2, MDK 2, Jet Grind Radio, Vanishing Point, San Francisco Rush 2049, Bomberman Online, and of course, Tony Hawk 2.

While I understand your complaint, to purchase the games directly from Japan or Taiwan or where ever costs nearly the same amount. It isn't like importers are grabbing them for $10.00 and selling them for $70.00.

Also, there is a good chance that the Dreamcast will be getting another US release very soon. If it is widely pirated, it will be the final nail in the Dreamcast's coffin. If not, I think we'll be seeing at least a few more games come out for the 'Cast.

I dont think there will ever be a "big" commercial release of any more games for the DC. there are just too many other gamers and systems on the market as a whole right now. why wuld they invest in a platform that is no where near as big as the XBOX, or the PS2? heck! or even the PSone! cause there are a whole lot more people with money willing to pay with those systems, then any of the other systems we "classic" gamers play with.

What exactly do they plan on releasing? Since the games are selling for $5 around here, I can't imagine they'd actually turn a profit on a new DC game. However, if a new game were to turn up, I'd be glad to see it.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not some big CDR whore or something... I have WAY more legitimate games than copied ones. I generally only pirate the games that I have a really hard time finding (I didn't even know Red Dog existed before a few days ago). As for importing, the prices are just way too high. I can't afford them at all.

I love Quake III. Except for the slow intiail setup (desperately needs a Quick Start)...it and Worms and Power Stone 2 and Rush 2009 or whatever it was are TERRIFIC 4 player games.

You like 4-player games the best, Kisrael? Do you play Chu Chu Rocket much? While I also like Worms or Bomberman, I love Chu Chu in multi-player mode and don't ever see many people list it when they talk multi-player games.
