This is the most unique game I've seen so far. It actually consists of 3 separate stories:
--- The TV show about a boy trapped inside an online game. (.hack//SIGN)
--- The movie about a girl in the "real world" trying to help the trapped boy. (.hack//liminality - packed with the game)
--- And the game itself. (.hack//Infection)


As for expense, I bought .hack part 1 for only $30 thanks to an amazon.com deal. If I buy the other games on sale, it will cost me $120. For that $120 I get ~50 hours of game and 3 hours of anime. That price is steep, but just this one time I can afford to do it.

In the future, these multipart games should be released at $20 each. That would be cheap enough for people to afford and feel that they got their money's worth.

I like the anime, but I haven't bought the games. $50 is too steep to buy in, even for the bonus DVD included.
