Sorry to change subjects, but Time SPlitters 2 -- I had forgotten about this game but a friend said it was 'awesome' about a year ago. Any advice about it? What kind of game is it? 1player fun?
Yes, it's an excellent game in both one player and multiplayer forms.
It has a set of very cool one player missions, all set in different historical periods. (And the one player missions can also be played 2 player co-op, though I think that is in some ways more difficult...) Each level has Easy/Medium/Hard mode as well, and each setting seems to have more to do, not just throwing tougher baddies at you. So if you like things easy, you can pretty much see every level, and for the people who are into challenges, I think the hard levels are really difficult...beyond my ability/time I'm willing to sink into it, anyway.
I had just as much fun one player with a series of challenges, different game types you can play to unlock extra characters, boards, and gamemodes in multiplayer. I'm not a big fan of having to play single player to unlock things in multi, but they do it pretty fairly. Those challenges are pick up and play fun, shorter than the story mode missions.
Deathmatch is excellent as well. If only the PS2 version had come through with the rumored online play! I woulda bought it even though I already had it on GC.
I think this was by the golden eye/perfect dark team, and it shows. Very high production values, some interesting character, variety of multiplayer, decent AI (I think), fun weapon sets.
Oh, and there's even a "make your own level/mission" mode, which was fun to tool around with, but paled pretty quickly.
A great game overall.
