I bought the Xbox when it came out but to be honest, it hasn't had hardly any use, by me, since I beat Halo. I've bought the Exhibition disks but just wasn't that impressed with anything to spend $$$. Only thing that looked sort of interesting was Mech Assault; heard that there are now additional Mech's and map's to download so I might pick it up and check it out.

My son bought Wolfenstein and Unreal (I wasn't that interested since I have them both on the PC) and he let me listen in on a few games.. sheesh, the 8yr olds with their language & attitudes  Maybe I live in a dream world but I swear I haven't run into that much .... ummm.... colorful metaphor usage... on the PC playing Medal of Honor or Neverwinter.

I have'nt had a problem in Wolfenstein as far as language goes. Every so often I get in a game that has REALLY bad lag but overall I've enjoyed it.

It's pretty bad when people can tell your singing skills are lacking and we can't even hear it. :D

honestly i dont think xhibition disks are a good way of showing off a new game. I played a demo of Hunter the reckoning and ididnt like it really. But when i got a chance to play the game and get passed the first level the game got more interesting and fun to play.
usually ill know what ill like and not like, but there are xceptions ;)

I play my Xbox now more than anything. It is truly the "super console".

..I don't really like the Xbox games though.. I don't get that whole 3D jazz

Just out of interest.... Did you know that your Xbox does actually have a first name?

It will be unique to your Xbox and is named at the factory. You can find it when you play a Lan linked Halo.

Mine is called 'Hambone'

You can change it but if you do, it can never be renamed again.

Also if you have Xbox live, then I can recommend MechAssault, I have played it to death since November. The 2 new mechs are crap though, but the new maps are good.

i think i've brought more games for my DreamCast since i got my XBox, but i'm glad i have one realy; i like FPS's and can't aford a high-end P.C. so the XBox is a nice close second.

with games like Panzer Dragoon Orta on the system i'll happy for quite sometime

Oh yea? Ours used to be Sneak and King, then they were FUCK YOU and BEEYATCH, now they are weasel and disco.

I think there must be something in them that just randomly picks a name the first time ypu put a new hard drive in.

I suggest buying a Gamecube, and one of it's strong titles such as Mario Sunshine, Metriod Prime, or Zelda. But if you dont want to buy a new console, here are some titles I suggest for the big black box:

StarWars Clone Wars
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Red Faction 2
Blinx the Time Sweeper
Star Wars Starfighter special edition
Jet Grind Radio Future

I think all of us are getting bored with modern games because of all the damn sequels. None of the bog three want to take a risk on an unproven title. Many of the titles announced at e3 were sequels......

.... who ever takes a chance and comes up with some thing original (not another 3d shooter!) stands a good chance of turning a profit!

I definitely play my XBox most. PS2 was last turned on probably Thanksgiving. Aside from being one of the teeming hords who picked up Turok cheap, I like playing Project Gotham 'cause I can sneak in a few races and then go back to whatever it was I was supposed to be doing.

BTW for the longest time I was stuck on Project Gotham...got the Lotus and couldn't do anything with it. Then last weekend I played for an hour and driving the Lotus just kinda clicked. Now I'm breaking all sorts of new personal records and opening up new levels. Lotus good.

I dont know if another "crash" is in order or not, I cant think of any other game that hasnt been tryed already though. I think the rut we are in right now is because of a lack of ability to find somthing new. if you think about it, when the 2600 was king, it was also breaking new territory, there was so many games that had never even been concepted before, but now, if you dont look to your past, for re-hashes of extremly old games, you cannot find any creativity. I mean, WHAT ELSE COULD SOMEONE DESIGN A GAME AFTER!?! if you design a game after a book or a movie it'll be a RGP or FPS, sports games are obviously sports games, and have a limited ability for creativity, (with the exception of XXX BMX) and then there are the "other" games that are werid, because they are uniqe, and every once and a while they become anoyingly popular (pokemon) but as for those "other" games, I think that pretty much the've allready been there, done that, and did it again but this time with a 3D environment. so what are we going to do? it's not like a crash is going to help, aside from taking games away from us so we appreciate them a bit more when they come back!! what d you guys think?

I get very confused when everyone says there are more crap games out there now and we need another crash :? Hate to break it to everyone but there have always been more crap games than good ones :) Nobody really can say the 2600 library was full of all good games and few crap ones, same with the NES, PS, and now these. If you buy what you wanna play then crap games won't exist to you and you don't need to worry about it ;) Difference is now you can rent a game, check out info online, read a magazine, download a trailer, etc..back in the day, you could check out the box art and and a wee little screenshot on the back of the box to see if a game was good or not. Maybe every so often a store would have a kiosk set up so you could play a game first, but that wasn't too likely to happen back then. Think about it, if the crash solved all of the problems, then why is everyone still saying there are crappy games right now? ;)
