Hi:

Has anyone here ever used the Nyko "Classic Trackball" for PS & PS2? It claims to be made from the original Atari trackball molds... And I have a lot of Atari games for PS that would be great with a trackball (Centipede, Marble Madness, Missile Command, etc.), but I've never seen one of these Nyko trackballs anywhere to try it... There's one on eBay right now which is why I'm curious:

THANKS!

It was never made from the original mold but did have "some" origins from the original designers. Unfortunatly Nyko did not listen to the experts and rushed a flawed design to market.

It's not a very good Trakball.

It would be nicer if it's was bigger, but I still like mine. There's some games like the arcade collection centipede where you have to go into the menu and turn down the mouse sensitivity

I found it to be very cheaply made and easy to break. I also didn't think it "felt" right - I could never find a good sensitivty setting. I actually prefer playing Marble Madness and Crystal Castles and Millipede with the control pad, if you can believe that.

Let's put it this way: I paid $10 for mine brand new from KayBee Toys and didn't get my money's worth.

I agree with this. I also think the Nyko Classic Trackball is pretty cool. It definitely could have been better in some areas (case design, and the ball occasionally gets "sticky" and hard to roll in certain directions), but I'm glad I have mine.
