Ahh, finally some news & screenshots of Jeff Minter's latest game are available! Damn, I can't wait to try this one... I've almost unlocked everything in Rez...

As usual with these types of games, the screenshots really don't do the game justice... I hope they release some videos in the future.

As someone close to Jeff, I can tell you that he hasn't actually DEFINITIVELY started working on the game just yet. He's still implementing ideas, working on the backgrounds and the character images etc. There is nothing to play just yet. He's toying with all the ideas and seeing which ones work best...

I can't wait for this game.

As to video, I think the chaps on Minter's forum where distributing DVDs with footage of what Jeff has whipped up thus far.

Ah, I guess that's why the screenshots don't really look like a game at all... I'm still really looking forward to it though. I just hope he finishes while the Gamecube is still as popular as it is... he doesn't exactly have a good track record on supporting successful consoles... :ponder:

Does Jeff still live with Llama's and stuff? He was certainly a character back in the early-mid eighties. 8)

I never did like any of his Mutant Camel type shooters, probably too fast for me. Also warped my impressionable young mind.
