Don't forget the limited edition Hulk gummy candy.

What? I don't care, let them commercialize the heck out of it, I'm still going to the movie since it opens on my birthday - and if I get any reports back the game doesn't suck I'm buying it to boot. I was a big fan of the Peter David books when he wrote for the comic, it was one of the few then (or now) I ever gave a damn to get.

John Byrne's (admittedly very short) run on the Hulk was probably my favorite.

Was that before or after the five part Mini-Series David did about the Hulk in crisis? Any idea what issue #'s?

#s 314-319, right after he left Alpha Flight. If memory serves me correctly, he left the book rather abruptly because DC offered him Superman.

The Hulk looks fake.

Byrne also did an annual ( #7? ) that rocked.

The Future Imperfect set by Peter David and George Perez is my favorite Hulk tale.

Don't forget to pick up your Incredible Hulk Glad bags

Wasn't that just for a short time?

Also, I think in the meanwhile they've played with that idea, and had green hulk meet the grey hulk?

Anyway, usually in the comics, and always in popculture, Hulk is green. Methinks.

Those hulk hands are kind of funny...

the Hulk was grey in the very first issue. Not sure when he turned green, but yeah, everybody thinks of Hulk as being green.

Grey Hulk was the smart Hulk in a few different variations, including "Mr. Fixit" as he called himself in the 90's, working at Las Vegas as a bouncer/ for hire kind of dude. Mr. Fixit is supposed to be in this Hulk game as a secret character to play as, complete with smart-alek quips.

I've never read the storyline that confirms this, but a friend who is a comic junkie (thousands and thousands of books) told me that at some point the Hulk had a thousand different competing multiple personalities in his head, and every "variation" of the Hulk we've seen is a different one becoming/being predominant. Anyone with expertise care to agree or disagree? (Sorry if we're going way off topic from The Hulk as a video game.)

I can't confirm or deny that MMF, I've only a few HULK comics. Wouldn't suprise me though. One interesting tid-bit....Early on Banner would transform into the hulk at sundown and revert back at sun-up...( Sounds like a werewolf! ) He later experimented with Gamma Radiation which brought on the whole transforming when he got an adrenalin rush and I suspect also turned him green.

I think this storyline happened around issue # 377.
All the Hulk/ Banner personalities were fighting for control and we ended up with a green wise-cracking Hulk, who would occasionally wear pink bunny slippers.

Great stuff by Peter David and Dale Keown.
This is starting to sound like one of my Ebay ads :)

I got the game for the Xbox.

It's a blast when your the Hulk and smashing stuff, specifically the first half of the game. It slows a bit when your Dr. banner and having to sneak around (although it is pretty cool on some maps). The second part of the game has you fighting tougher type ground troops (Big Robots).

If your a Hulk fan or a comic fan it's a must. Otherwise a decent action/adventure game.

Cool. I need to find a copy of this issue. I was at Borders looking for Hulk compendiums, but I only found a couple of weak ones that had five or so issues bound in a hard cover, and nothing specific I wanted (like Peter David issues, such as the future crisis involing the death of all superheroes EXCEPT the Hulk). So I gotta hit a real comic store, and soon.

I just got it for the Xbox and I am pretty impressed. Controls nice, looks cool and is fun :!: I wouldn't pay $50 for it though, I'd wait til it's around 30 or less.
