Took this from their site. It's talking about the pack-ins with the new album.

Also included will be a sneak peak at the Metallica Video game. Ready sometime in early 2005, the new video game is a third person vehicle combat game packed with fully customized vehicles and weaponry, endless terrain and desperate, murderous opponents - will include voice-overs from us, incidental background music and other exclusive content. We will also record an original song exclusively for the game along with a music video featuring elements from the interactive experience. You will also be able to see the trailer if you hit any of the Summer Sanitarium tour dates.

Didn't KISS and Motley Crue already try this?

I really don't know what to think, but I can't stop laughing.

hmmmm
i dont know what to say :)

all i know is that i heard some songs fromthe new album and his voice hasnt really changed
which i think is going to hurt their chances at regaining some ground that theyve lost with with theyve already done.
James said he likes it cuz it sounds "creepy" for certain songs, while others said they think he shouldve changed it

if lemmy can still sing all metal, why the fuck cant james

Metallica = money grubbin, trend following ex-metalheads.

Believe me, I stopped listening to them after the Black album...threw their albums Load and Reload in a trash bin one time.

Having their own game would totally ruin their image. However, I think the last 2 albums they released already did the trick.

Lars....you suck! :x

Long live Lemmy Kilmister!

This game sounds like a half dozen others that have been released the past few years.

I'm guessing if you played Vigilante 8 with a Metallica album playing at the same time, You'd have this game.
Why not something more original!???

If I was to design a Metallica Game, I'd call it
For Whom The Taco Bell Tolls
It would be a FPS and you would control Lars as he tries to hand out legal papers sueing the end boss on any one of 13 missions.
Then, when you take them to court, you use the money to go to taco bell.

(Taco Bell would of course have to pay DEARLY for product placement)
And all Likeness of Metallica on TacoBell products ...like Happy Meals would cost the kiddies .50 more than normal.

It seems like we're all united in our hatred for post-AJFA Metallica. I guess their cynical "hey, we stopped wearing makeup-we're hardcore again!" and "Look, we're playing in a prison-we're hardcore again!" tactics aren't wroking. They're even trying to use an Neuro Linguistic Programming phrase as thei album title to brainwash a few more kids.

I'm gonna rip their new album just for the fun of it then delete it off my drive immediately. I really really hate them. They're metal for people who don't have the balls to listen to real metal.

Yes, let's have a Motorhead game so Lemmi can eat those pussies Lars and James for breakfast. Special guest appearance by KORN! :D

But they made thair new video at a prison. See, that proves they're hardcore! Right? But they now have group hugging sessions before they recors so that's totally hardcore!

Cliff is rollin in his grave.

We could easily hack Journey Escape into a Metallica game.

I saw a rumor in Electronic Fun mag that Led Zeppelin and the Stones talked to Data Age about doing games.

Stairway to Heaven for the 2600, ohhhhh . . .

Interestingly, there is a Led Zeppelin tribute of sorts in Star Trek: 25th Anniversary for the NES with the "rune symbols" from their fourth album(?) appearing in a temple your away team must enter.

As long as a Villiage People game never gets produced, the world will remain a happy place.

'course they DID make a Spice Girls game...

Think I'll go kill myself now..
