Not interested in it, myself.
Played EQ for 9mos and burnt out on it. Some reasons:
A) Dumb quests: go and bring me 3 rat whiskers or spend 20min running to another town where you fetch a book for an NPC then bring it back to said NPC then take an item from that NPC back to where you got the book. Boring.
B) Camp a creature/NPC for 6weeks hoping he'll spawn and that if he does that he'll also have the item you need. Or camp something for an item and then get KS'd at the last moment... boring & frustrating.
C) Struggle your butt off to earn morney to buy a set of Chainmail armor only to have a Lvl 2 run by you with full plate mail, stat boosting items up the wazoo and a Wurmslayer.... very boring.
D) LD's during a fight which can cause you to die which in turn means you loose a few hours worth of playtime experience points plus possibly a lvl..... Frustrating
E) Trains from stupid, stupid players that will wipe out 50 players at a time..... frustrating as hell
F) You have to buy every expansion if you want to obtain all your spells, equipment, items for trade skills, etc. Just buying the original game doesn't get your character very far in the game.
These are just MY opinions of the game and why I don't play it. Lots of people like EQ and they are welcome to it. Not trying to start a war or anything; just commenting on why I don't play EQ.
I made some real good friends online which I still keep in contact with and for that I will always be grateful to EQ. But overall, EQ is not a game I consider worth $13 a month.
