Last week I took a trip to the Outer Banks N.C.. I took my Xbox along and it seems like every night everyone would make their way to the living room to play some NES versions of Family Feud or Wheel of Fortune. Now three families went along making for a great time. Modern consoles should look into some of these games, they are truly great party games. Games like Mario Party are good and all but if your not a gamer at all you probably not going to be interested. Who the hell wouldn't love to play a really good version of Family Feud or your Xbox or GC. They could have unlockable hosts like "two more wins and you unlock Ray Combs". The Xbox could use communicator headset support so playing fast money would be a blast. I'm only using Family Feud as an example there are lots of games that would be great if updated a little. The NES versions are classics that I will continue to play but after a few times the catagories start to repeat and it gets old. I'm not trying to start the lets get a FF game thread. We had a blast playing those games on vacation and it would be great to see some new versions out. Alright I'll stop pimping FF and get some dinner. :)

My copy of Jeopardy for the N64 does not want to work.
The select screen comes on, but I can get no further.
Am I missing something?
Does anyone else have problems with this game?

With online connectivity you could download more questions!

And even play against another family in Family Feud!

I think some of the new Game Show Network shows could translate well into new games. Especially Lingo, Whammy! and Russian Roulette.

Agreed any gameshow new or old would translate very well to the newer consoles. With all the storage space on DVD's the same old questions popping up would not occur very often as well as the graphical improvements. Alot of older people who were never and will never be gamers had a wonderful time playing the NES versions of the gameshows. I think a large group of people, casual gamers though they may be, are being left out of the new consoles. Even Halo nuts like myself like to sit down with the family and play a little jeopardy.

Umm, a lot of these games exist in online Java form. It would be a waste of effort to put them on consoles.

I'd personally like to see a bunch of more obscure game shows collected on disc...

Of course, noone but the few of us hopeless game show addicts would buy Bullseye, Play the Percentages, Joker's Wild, Whew!, High Rollers etc. but I'd love to play these games again :)

I buy every game show adaptation that comes out...it's one of my favorite genres

By the way, puddwakkr, how much fun would Jeopardy be on the XBox with those shocking controllers ;)

True, but my family doesn't huddle around my 19in. monitor in the basement. We sit on the couch in front of my 65in. TV. Most families I'll be spend more time around the TV as a group than they do their PC's.

As for the shock controllers - I know I wouldn't buzz in unless I was SURE of the answer.
