Seller's description was/is intentionally misleading with the words "I don't know if it's PAL or NTSC" when the seller is based in Australia and this is CLEARLY going to be PAL. You're not fooling us or anyone else bub.

There is a $95 bid for the loose cart so it's fair to say he's fooling someone :)

As to wether it's PAL or NTSC I agree the odd's of it being NTSC are astronimical.

He may be interested in a PAL cart?

Yeh, maybe he actually wants a PAL cart? Fancy that eh? ;)

People seem to think that a PAL version is relatively common. Well it isn't. I tend to think of it along the lines of Motorodeo, except that you can find Motorodeos in France as well as in Australia, whereas BMX seems to be Aus only.

Of course, the TNT version is MUCH easier to find.

I thought these carts only sold for about $20 or so? $50 tops even if its a rarity 8 I would think. :?

A lot of collectors only see the rarity of the NTSC cart and don't realise that many rare NTSC carts are much more common in PAL format.

Check out that sellers other auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...item=3029996795

And then at the 4th cart on the top roll. Looks like he realized after the fact, that BMX was a rarer title, so he edited it. :ponder:

And he clearly stated they were PAL format. Then he relists it separately and says he does not know.

But the winner was from the UK, so it's not like he cheated anybody, just a little bit shady.

nice catch! In this auction he clearly states all games are PAL, but in the BMX auctions its "well it might be NTSC".. what a slimeball  :x

Even though the auction listing indeed is shady, the buyer probably wanted a PAL version of Atari BMX Airmaster, which is by no means easy to find (only available to Australia, so it seems) and the buyer probably thought it was worth the $95. Not much harm done here, I think.

Cheers,
Marco
