There's a new Comedy Goldmine over at Something Awful that mixes up various video games. As usual, some of them really suck, but there's some that totally cracked me up, including some good 2600 ones about halfway through... and anything combining Crazy Taxi and Space Taxi wins in my opinion. Check it out.

Some appropiately funny stuff here and there. The Bart Vs. The Predator thing can pretty much do without Bart swearing, though.

You don't visit Something Awful much, do you? Consider yourself lucky if a little swearing is the worst thing you encounter.

I love SA. My favorite of these video game parodies was Grand Theft Mario Kart. That one destroyed me.

I think it's been proven that things can be amusing without having to resort to using profanity or anything so on the adult (read lurid or obscene) level of entertainment, yet also without being so dumbed-down to the point of only being amusing to kids. And no, I am not a frequent visitor of SomethingAwful.com.

I haven't seen the site yet, but I think it's also been proving that the right amount of swearing--even if seemingly gratuitous--can make something much much funnier.

Case in point for me: the South Park Movie, in theaters at least. I have NEVER heard an audience laugh so much.

It was a great idea, but I think the screenshot could have been done better... I really liked the Tony Hawk/Counterstrike merge... "FS Noseblunt + Headshot"

True enough, but Something Awful has been one of my favorite humor sites for a very long time now. It may be low-brow, but it's rare that I visit the site and don't laugh. Sure, obscenity may not be necessary, but it makes for some great jokes at times.
