BTW, the 2 or 3 I mentioned earlier:

Had played 2 or 3 (can't remember), they were alright, but hard.

It was the Last Revelation. I was at Wal-Mart the other day, and it was on the PS1 display. It was hard, but so much fun, I was getting pretty far right there. I do have the game for Dreamcast, but without a VMU, getting beyond the intro is a waste. The PS1 version was the one I used to play at Kay-B Toys all the time while my brother went and did whatever. Filled me with nostalgia, yo.

Yes! Revelations was good, I own that one, never bothered to finish it, don't know why! Perhaps because old habits die hard! I pulled out the Saturn version today and boy I have forgotten how dated it is, however after a few minutes of play I was right back into it again!
This game was probably one of the biggest reasons I kept my Saturn in the early days. Still a masterpiece. Long live Lara!

P.s What do you all think of the movie? I thought it was quite daft compared to the game. New one looks better!

I rented it for the Saturn when it came out. I bought it the next day! At first the entire concept of playing as a female was pretty strange, new, wierd, but now we don't even think about it.

I recently got the Japanese import (called Tomb Raiders) just to hear Lara speak Japanese in the cut scenes. Sounds great! Not that I can understand it of course but the inflection sounds dead-on.

I also recently picked up AOD and I'm not impressed at all with the control scheme. "If I press up she's supposed to walk forward! damnitt!" I'm still in the training level where every button seems to be the suicide button. Great a "training" level where you die all the time. Should I stick it out and keep trying or give up while I'm ahead?

as Always,
Markimus of Tomb Raider

Yes I have AOD for PS2! At first I didn't like the game, but stick at it! The storey line becomes interesting and the graphics are definetely worth it. Yes the controls are very tricky, well damn right stupid I say. The levels are varied and you will be rewarded, however don't expect Lara to always do what you want her to! (Wish I could, hmmm!)

Speaking of which, is Tomb Raider the product of American or Japanese minds/programmers?
