My list of PS1 Must haves:

1.Metal Gear Solid
2.Grand Theft Auto 2
3.WWF Smackdown 2
4.Syphon Filter
5.Driver
6.Twisted Metal
7.Gran Turismo
8.Need for Speed:Hot Pursuit
9.Crash Bandicoot
10.Activision Anthology

That's all I can think of now. Seeing how PS1 games are going for dirt cheap, I'm thinking of buying back a lot of games that I ended up selling for rent money.

Hmmm. Here's my list, in no particular order, of "must haves" that I recommend to all PS1 and 2 gamers:

Final Fantasy VII
Front Mission 3
Time Crisis
Tekken 3
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit
Raystorm
RPG Maker
Vandal Hearts
Soul Blade
Ace Combat 2

(Note: Final Fantasy Tactics just missed this list. Consider it in 11th place.)

There are also a few others that I'd recommend, but they also happen to be on other consoles in addition to PS1 versions:

Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits
Atari Anniversary Edition Redux
Final Fantasy Origins (for FF1 even if you do have the NES version)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Return Fire
Ogre Battle

Battle Arena Toshinden
Street Fighter Collection
Street Fighter Alpha (all 3, really)
Dead or Alive
RPG Maker

It's wierd... the PSX seems to have fewer "OH MY GOD!!!" titles than other wildly successful systems like the NES and Game Boy.

super puzzle fighter 2 turbo is one of my favorite games of all times. the only problem is, im so good no one will ever play me cuz they hate getting whooped on. especially my cousin, his game is weak.

which character do you think has the best pattern?

As far as the toughest to deal with, it's a tie between Morrigan and Donvan. Although, admittedly I can't recall Akuma or Devilot's patterens right now.

The most fun way is to play Dan vs. Dan, though. :D

I just finished Ff9 for the Playstation, and I truly have to say that Final Fantasy 8 and 7 beat the hell out of it.

Final Fantasy 7 seems to have that wierd energy about it, it has a perfect pace of gameplay.

Final Fantasy 8 has the best summons imho. Bahamut in 8 is so awesome.

The characters in FF9 are absoutely retarded. I wanted to punch the TV everytime I saw that stupid Quina. The only characters I sorta liked was Dagger/Garnett, Eiko (phoenix stuff), and Vivi (I'm a final fantasy tactics fan).

The rest were stupid. The movies were fairly good. The time between saves was excrutiating.

Street Fighter Collection is my fav so far...The classic champion edition, where you could play as the bosses for the first time. Not turbo, just with the bosses but nothing special.
