Wouldn't it be nice if Sony went back and re-released all those multi disk PSX games on ONE ps2 DVD disk?

Of if Nintendo re-released a couple n64 games on a disk? :ponder:

I always thought it would be really great if they put together "Greatest Hits" packages for video games much like they do for audio music but I know it can't/won't happen.

Like they did with Mario All-Star's I would love to have a Castlevania package or a Contra package or a Zelda package.

I want to see another Guardian Legend, but the official word is that it's a no go unless someone else wants to fund the entire operation. Anyway, the 3D contra games blow hard, and the 2D ones could be done with e-cards.

I don't know much about the PS2 or it's internals... but would it be possible to actually rip the files off of the multiple disks and burn them onto a DVD? I guess this would require a modded PS2. This also begs the question: If you're actually playing a PS1 game, can you actually read the whole DVD?

If Sony were to do this, they'd probably remake the game as a PS2 game, and add tons of textures and junk so that instead of being 2-3 CD's, it's now 2-3 DVD's

Yeah right... in the wake of the Super Mario Advance games, I think it's safe to say that Nintendo realizes that people will gladly pay full price for each game. I was hoping to see a port of Super Mario All-Stars, but all the fanboys have pretty much guaranteed that that won't happen :(

I'd still like to see a GBA cartridge containing the first two Zelda games... I'm sure they'll do this eventually, I just hope they don't split them onto two cartridges.

I just want Flagship to keep making the GBA Zelda games.

I'd love to see a PS2 ridge racer compilation. All of the previous titles (with slightly cleaned up visuals) including the arcade sequels, and all Jogcon compatible. It'd be a nice gesture from Namco before they kill the whole series with that new piece of multiformat crap they're working on now.
