I have a lot of my favourite Adventures, and im wonder what ulititie I should be using to create blank Amiga disks on emulators (WinFellow, WinUAE, etc).

So I can save where i left of.. business. (Monkey Island, Kings Quest, Legend of Kyrandia, etc)

I believe there are serveral types of Formats the Amiga uses, err some older some newer? :ponder:

Question which is a nice fast way of formatting a Amiga disk..
I was thinking about Workbench 1.3 was the only way, but im sure there are other ways ?

I don't know if this applies to any Amiga emulators, but some others will create blank disk images if you enter a filename that doesn't exist in the folder. Or you could just copy a system disk and erase the files in it.

I tried making a file like Blank.adf but neither emulator accepted it.

And finding a normal disk image and deleting the files off it, obviously another way to get a fresh blank disk image.
But im gonna have to find the right Program that will examine Amiga disks so i can delete them.

As soon as Ive made 1 blank disk image, I wont have to do this again.

To make a blank .ADF file, issue the following command prior to booting up UAE:

C:> makedisk df

Will give you a file named "DISKFILE", in the UAE directory. Rename this to something logical and assign it to a floppy drive before booting UAE - it will now be available from within the emulator. You will need to format it from Workbench before you can use it, though.

From http://www.majestic....uk/brettfaq.htm

Since you'll need to format it within the emulator in any case, you might as well just make a copy of an existing .adf :P
