Like say, in "Network Neighborhood" in Windows? I'm really just looking for a reason to make a spiffy Gamecube icon, and I need SOME reason to attach my Gamecube to my network, despite my utter lack of online games for it.

I beieve you would also have to have someway to connect your PC to the GC. I know my Xbox has an IP address but I'm unsure if you can assign one to a GC. I have to use an ftp client to connect with it, it won't just show up in my network places.

They would require a NETBIOS name to show up in explorer/network neighborhood which it is not likely they would have.

If it uses a broadband connector, it is going to pick up an IP address (most likely via DHCP) or have a static one.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do with it, but it'd require a host service on the console for a PC to connect to it. Your PC will have telnet and FTP on it as they are a part of the TCP/IP stack, but if the Gamecube isn't running a host application it wont do you much good.

Well, 2 or 3 years from now, you could use them for Gamecube emulators, as an icon for the ISO files...

Might make a neat Avatar too.
