Does anyone know where I can get empty DVD-style cases to suit the GameCube's 8cm disc format? Something the size of the Gameboy Player's disc case would be handy, or equally cool would be a case that can fit 2, 3 or 6 discs.

Thanks.

Nintendo USA sells the disc cases on their site 1@ $1.00, 4 for $5.00 and 7 for $10.00.. but they don't ship out of the USA..

You could call the Australian Nintendo:

Nintendo Oz can't supply the normal GC game cases as a spare part. There is a contact person if I want to discuss my project, but I don't think they'll play ball if it isn't licensed Nintendo Gamecube software development. :(

Good idea though.

I'm bored, so I did a search for ya. This is what I found:

None of the sites had the DVD-style cases, but I know someone makes them since we get plain ones at the game store. I'll have to investigate since the internet has failed me on this occasion.

Me too.

Thanks for looking into it. I've spent most of today on and off looking for DVD-esq 8cm disc cases with no luck. Plenty of media, which there wasn't a year or so ago. Jewel boxes and slip covers no problem, but they're just not up to the task, both physically and design-wise.

I had been thinking of getting a cardboard folding thing made but I was having real problems with the spindle. When I bought my GameCube Gameboy Player bundle and Super Smash Brother Melee on the weekend I knew that I could make something look nice with either the little case that the Gameboy Player boot disc is in, or the DVD-sized case that SSBM was in. The trick is finding a place that supplies them...

You know, it would have been nice had they included a case with a label the said Game Boy Player or something..... GRRR!!!

Although I do love the Player!

It's nice isn't it? I'm going to pickup some GBA Sonic titles now, they deserve the big screen. I can barely wait for a friend of mine to finish with Metroid Fusion so I can borrow it -- if I see it for sale I'll probably pick it up.
