This is from a reliable source. But still, its JUST a rumor at this stage... Is Microsoft pulling a fast one on the competition? I'm hearing rumors that Halo 2 is in its final stages and is preparing for some heavy BETA testing for the rest of the summer and into the Fall to get it ready for its November 20 (At the latest.) release onto the Xbox.

Now that you have been given a moment to rejoice, remember that November is when most XBOX owners will lose their XBOX Live subscriptions and have to renew to play Halo on XBOX Live.

300,000 Plus new subscribers for a year? Smart thinking Microsoft.

To justify this release will most likely be a statement saying they finished it in time for 'The Christmas season' which of course is brilliant, but thats just a cover story.

So be prepared to renew your XBOX Live Subscriptions as Halo 2 is going to heavily use it with tons of modes squaring from normal fragfests and capture the flag debacles to possibly a larger role in a Haloesque Universe ...

Go on, admit it, you would renew your subscription to XBL for Halo2, heck, even I would, and I have barely put 40 hours into my current subscription over the last 8 months...

I was content waiting until next year now my hopes are all built up again. I wanna play this bad.

you play Brute Force yet?

Not on that level, but it's very Halo inspired.

if they do it will end up like all the other shitty rushed MS titles.. for a good system like the xbox, it sure has the worst first party games! Most were either rushed or just tech demos turned into bad games, i hope this news is bullshit.

I don't want them to rush it out either, but if it's done lemme have it. I liked Brute Force you can see the halo similarities in the gameplay but it's nowhere near as fun. I'm almost done with it I think I have a 2 levels left. I still play halo more than BF.

I agree that this game cannot be rushed. The original Halo is a work of art. As we have learned from experience, a sequel will either solidify it in gaming history or spell doom for the franchise.
