Anyone here ever watch the Vestron Video release titled Joysticks??? This is an all time favorite that all videogame fans need to see. There are lots of video games featured throughout the movie in the arcade where everything takes place. Satan's Hollow, Super Pac-Man, Pole Position, Pac-Man, Defender and many many many more!! Great video to add to your collection!!

I think that's the first time I ever heard the adjective "Excellent" applied to Joysticks the movie

But yeah it's a flick to have :P

I have that movie in my collection.
Haven't watched it in years though.
I will try and watch it again this week-end.

LOL! I loved it. I can watch it over and over. I have no idea why most people hate it. It is one of my favorites. Much much better than most of the garbage that is on tv today such as "reality" based tv shows. What gets me about reality shows is that most Americans are dumb enough to believe that reality based shows are real. They have no clue that they are all scripted. Anyway, Joysticks is an awesome movie!!!

Great flick! I got mine from Jeff F. If anyone has a laserdisc of it for sale, LMK...

You have to love those super size joysticks in the competition!

That game, Streaker, that you see in the back room is super rare. I have never acutally known anyone to have one. May go check VAPS today and see!

I know I saw this long ago but can't recall anything about it. It was a typical R-rated sex flick I recall.

I can't respect any video game movie that doesn't include the line:
"Power Glove. It's SO bad."

Just checked out VAPS.org for that game Streaking. No one registered has it. That is amazing. I did not realize it was THAT rare.

I believe Joysticks is the only place any of us may ever see it.... :( Not like its a good game or anything :)

A laserdisc? They actually made a laserdisc of that thing? Bizarre. Would you be willing to loan it to me (I'll pay shipping) so I could burn a DVD from it? I have all of the video gear at work, and I'd send you a copy of the DVD back with the laserdisc. PM me if you're interested.

Actually, I think Joy Sticks is a terrible film. Of course - that's kind of the whole point. It was never meant to be a good film. But it has its own unique... personality. It's an interesting curiosity. I've developed a peculiar fondness for it. I'm considering therapy.

I wrote up a pretty exhaustive review of it and several other "video game" movies here, plus there are reviews of some of the arcade games featured in the movies there, too. On one of the pages in the Joy Sticks review, I compiled a complete list of the games shown in it. Man... that took some time, and far more viewings of the movie than anyone should have to sit through.
