I hate spending full price for a game. I went against all my better judgement and went and picked up SW: KOTOR. Man am I glad I did! This game is awesome!! I'm about 6 hours into this game and I can honestly say I can't remember when I've been so pleased by a game. If you've ever played any of Bioware's PC RPG's ( Baldur's Gate anyone ) then you'll love this. It has the same kind of interface where you can pause the game at any time to assign actions to all your party members. Combat is very fun and deep. All the dialogue is voice acted too which is a nice touch, as well as the text at the bottom of the screen so you can see what the aliens are saying. If you have an Xbox and like RPG's or are a Star War's fan pick this game up. Spend full price you have to play this game. If you don't have an Xbox then I believe the PC version comes out in like a month and you can get it then. I really can't believe how much fun I'm having playing this game. I can't wait till I can become a jedi so I can make a lightsaber and whoop serious ass.

I may have to look into it. I've been disappointed with SW games in the past. But I hear this one's really good.

This game has talked me into buying an Xbox, getting it next week! Pretty much the only reason im getting it is for that game, and of course ill buy a couple other titles like Panzer, and Blinx.

Now I Like Star Wars Not a big fan of RPGs anymore. The last I played was Final Fantasy 7 I think. Everyone is saying KOTOR is sweet so I may check it out. No Doubt graphics and control will be great. If Only it was cheaper.....or I had money :)

I've seen a lot of advertising for this on TV in the past few days, and I don't watch a lot of television. :) I don't have an Xbox, though, and have no plans on buying one soon. Is this only being released on the Xbox?

I was told by the resident moron at my local gamestop the is is Xbox exclusive. However, that has been said many times before only for the title to later be released on PC. I bet it gets released on PC within a year.

The commercial implies that it's only for the Xbox (or maybe it outright says that), so I think it's a safe bet that it won't be appearing on any other consoles for the immediate future. I would not be surprised to see a PC release in the future, though, given the nature of the Xbox. But if it's anything like Halo, it might be quite some time before that happens!

Sorry, I missed that the first time around. A little searching shows that it won't be out for the PC until the Fall. But still good to know that it's coming. :)

Agreed. I am looking forward to the PC version. I also have another reason not to need to buy an Xbox.

Yes, agreed. There have been few unique Xbox games that might have inpsired me to purchase the system. One of those games is Halo, but that will be on the PC soon enough. Looks like this Star Wars game might have been another reason had they not also announced a PC version. I'll be able to run the PC version at higher resolution and with better controls (I'm not fond of the Xbox controllers)..

On the official forums for the game, I saw a press release stating that they were shooting for a "Fall 2003" release. I also saw a date on another site that said October 2003. So that's about three months away, if they are actually able to stick to their target (and we know how well that works in this industry). :)

What's cool is with Halo PC and KOTOR, us Xbox owners can now say
"yea that game is old, I played it months ago/years ago". About time we don't end up with ports or old ass games :D

LOL. Exactly.

"You just got Halo for your computer, eh? Yeah, I remember playing that two years ago on my Xbox."

I wouldn't be surprised is Microsoft bought 3D Realms on a whim, and gave the Duke 4 developers the Halo 2 engine and said "I want Duke Nukemn Forever out by Christmas! Now, GET TO WORK!" then made it Xbox exclusive for 2 years.

At least it'd actually come out. ;)

As usual, it'll be better on the PC. Better resolution, better controls (I agree with Albert, Xbox controllers stink), lots of mods on the way, online play from the get-go, etc.

I've played Halo and I really don't see what the big deal is. If it weren't for the graphics, it'd be buried under the deluge of other FPS shooters.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'll just play Tron 2.0, Star Wars: Galaxies, GTA3 and the hundred of non-Xbox games on my PC. Oh, and Half-Life 2. :D

Yeah.. uh.. yeah.. that's what you are.

Actually, I meant this one:

a. One who is zealous, especially excessively so.
b. A fanatically committed person
