this happened awhile ago, i think maybe a year or so. We have yet to see any joint projects. *hopes for dragon warrior/chrono trigger series* *Realizes how impossible that is, smacks self*

it wasnt that far back it actually was announced on Nov. 25 and happened on april 1. dont feel bad i probably wouldnt have known until my little bro bought FF Origins and this logo 
came up instead of the normal 
one, if it werent for www.rpgamer.com . Here's the original artical from RPGamer. Here's the artical from the day it happened from RPGamer.
Oh and if you want to really be surprised Enix is actually the parent company in this merger (although the president of Square is the dict... i mean president of Square Enix.) Square was actually in worse shape because of the "FF"movie. (not saying anything against the movie as i havent seen it yet the parenthesis are around FF because i can tell its not much Final Fantasy and more Sci Fi. although i eventually will see it so i can say more... by the way the Street Fighter movie SUCKED )
