Well, this morning I was thinking about that special edition black Sega Sports edition of the Dreamcast that came in black and how there wouldn't be any used ones available for a while.

Then today I went to GameStop again (I live there now it seems.) and to my surprise, there was one on the shelf! (Though it had some third party controller with a Z and C button above the four A, B, X and Y buttons. All black colored.) They even had a white model with a disc for the online service!

Will the Sports model be more rare one day? How about that disc?

I wouldn't rare, I'd say, as Liquid said, more uncommon. I'd like to get one just to keep my original one nice.

We can go about the country defacing those black dreamcasts, and thus increase their rarity, if you'd so desire...

My local Gamestop had 2 black ones and one white for sale last time I was there. Now I can sell my white DC on Ebay and call it RARE!!!!

Just wanted to know. While I actually like the Black look better, I'm not into sports, would rather it be all black and don't have another $30 to spend on a second one for now.

Does anybody know of anywhere you can still find the black sports system new? I've been debating picking up another DC since I think my original one gave up the ghost (need to retest with some familiar discs if I can find the time, but...), and I'd like to get a new one if I could.

New? Good luck. Someone bought the one at the local GS even though it was used. Still, I haven't seen any new in box.. actually, ever. I never saw the box! That's a surprise. I just realized that. Any of the colors actually.
