I guess this is modern gaming, it was out around the same time as PSX/N64.

The grocery store near me is selling this brand new for $1, so I picked up a copy. It's by the same guys who did Duke Nukem. It's kinda cool, your a Chinese dude, you can go around hacking and slashing bad guys, or shooting them, or blowing them up, etc etc. It's fun, but your character dies way too easily. And it's NOT better than Duke Nukem.

Is it a PC game?
sounds like "Rise of the triad(s)".

When I saw the title I imidiatly thought of Shadow warriors for NES. (PAL version of Ninja Gaiden )

WHO WANTS SOME WANG?!

I'm not a big fan of FPS, but I loved playing this game at the computer store. The fact you get sick after you set off a nuclear explosion and walk through it was a really nice touch.

Lo Wang rocks! Yes this game is fun to play, but not as good as Duke3d. However the effects, such as transparent water and 3d voxel objects are excellent. I used to make levels for those build games, oh those were the days- without 3d accelerators (and pentiums)

Why didn't anybody ever re-make this one for consoles? Hell if Deus Ex, Doom, Starcraft and Quake all deserve it, Shadow Warrior certainly does!

To be fair, Shadow Warrior didn't exactly set the gaming charts on fire.

I know that game all too well (used to work for GT), it was funny, yeah maybe a little harder than Duke IMHO but not bad. DM games were great seeing someone running with a mess of sticky-bombs on their ass.....and the tank battles/forktruck derbys are fun too.

Blood was another game around the same era that was really good in alot of ways too, great,GREAT DM in Blood

The reason I'm "just kidding" about Daikatana is that I've only read about it, I've never actually played it myself. I got out of PC gaming 3 or 4 years ago when I got tired of the rat race where you always needed a bigger hard drive and a more powerful video card and more RAM and I said ahh to hell with it at least console games always work and you never have to upgrade anything.

I think the reason why we never saw an update or sequel to Shadow Warrior is because a lot of people were offended by the Asian stereotypes (kamikazes, accents, etc.).

I always assumed it was a farce though, especially with catchphrases like "Who wants some Wang?" That's like people who get offended by South Park because Mr. Garrison is gay and Chef is black.

You could get back into PC gaming when Doom 3 comes out. It looks amazing, I know people who are upgrading just to play it. I definitely look forward to it.
