Weird. My brother brought up an interesting question. If one were to exist, how would a Game Boy Camera ROM work? With no camera hardware, I'd guess it'd just not run.

What if someone made a driver for such a ROM that could use a Web Cam.

Of course, what's the point? It was just a funny question I had to get out there.

Good question. but yeah, what's the point?

Someone [can't seem to find who or where] actually wrote some software that extracts the pictures from the backed up SRAM of your GB camera and gives them to you in Bitmap and JPEG formats. I suppose it could be taken a step further to extract the pics in real time from the camera through the communication port so you could use your GB as a web cam.

now that would be kinda cool... maybe... if you were really bored. :ponder:

How about the reverse? Using a Game Boy Camera in the Game Boy Player? I wonder how this would look. ;) I had a yellow GBC a while ago but it seems to be lost with the other 100 games I had. And I don't feel like buying one of the used ones at GS.

Of course, still pointless as third parties actually make camera attachments for the GBA that work a lot better and would be better for a weird strange GBP/Web-Cam hack. ;)

Hypothetically, this is just fun.
