Just noticed this one in my 'Unavailible' list on MAME32. I've been aware of the game for a while, but like most others I've never played it. Anyone have it? What's it like? Won't make a ROM request, cause I've been around the block a few times, but if it ended up in alt.binaries.emulation.mame, I wouldn't complain....

Now all we need is Prof. Pac-Man and Baraduke 2, and all the obscure sequles will be done. :P

It's available in Mame as one of the Deco cassette roms (so you'll need the Deco system roms to run it). Added waaay back when Mame was still being beta released. Professor PacMan is supported in Mame already, but not enabled because the dump is incomplete :( Bakutotsu Kijuutei is the original name for Baraduke2...that's in Mame as well.

Thanks for the ROM, but it irks me that I have to 'load' it every stinkin' time I want to play it! Would an Image save work (shift-F7), just after loading the game? Or will the Virtual DECO machine crash? :?

As for the game itself, it takes some getting used to, but it's not a bad game, but it doesn't have that flow of BT, knowwhatImeanVern? And 'Funbunching' is near impossible. Diner's a far, far better BT sequel, maybe even better than BT itself.

I've now also got Bakutotsu Kijuutei/Baraduke2, but my P1 can't run the damed thing. I'll have to try it on my Roomies faster PC.

What I do to speed it up is simply hit F10.. that should load it up in no time ;) Additionally you can probably jack up the framerate to frameskip 11 (using F8 or F9) for even more speed. It gets rid of loading times for DECO stuff fast. :D You can view the rate you're getting by hitting F11 of course.

I didn't realize that Burgertime had a sequel (aside from Super Burgertime) until just last year too when the DECO support was added. What a nice surprise :D

Personally, I think it's a horrible game. I can't figure it out.

I tried the F10 thing, and on a P1, there's not much difference...

I'll try the framerate tweak.

You need to use F10 alongside F8 (run as fast as possible+increase framerate to skip 11). Then put framerate back on auto once the rom is loaded.

Did that, and it works at a reasonable level. I've also tried the Image load thing, and it does indeed crash the virtual DECO machine.

Anyway, PPIC is a fun game, but I'll be playing Tron and Super Pac again soon.
