messes suck but at least laughing like a fool passes time better than arguing over an advertisement out of all things :)

Actually, words can physically harm you if they happen to be coming out of a bullhorn that is right next to your ear. Other than that, they can only hurt your feelings...and feelings are a human weakness (or strength...depending on how you look at it). So the statement is pretty much correct.

If some luntic rallies their comrades with the words kill all people who are different from us and those words invoke action in those people to kill, the words insight the action, are those words harmless, no clearly not...

Or maybe its a Eurpoean perspective that shapes my opinion, after all in most Eurpoean countries you cannot spout racist, sexist or insightful ramblings in public, there is no freedom to opress with speech....

thats not hurtful, thats when a strong person will say "this guy is fucked up, and his ignorence will make him fall. Sure, he said hateful things about my race, but i chalk that up to lack of knowledge about my people and I laugh at anyone so maggotbrained as to think genocide is the answer"

See?

Nice idea -- unseen in practice, as history demonstrates...

You should look around the world a bit more and see that strength is not enough, for millions of people. Its a common view you hold, usually held by people who live in nice safe societies, undisturbed by terrorism, facism and war...
