Which of the Megaman series is the best for the Gameboy Advance? I read from general reviews that the best is Battle Network 2 but, if I have to pick one, what would you recommend?

Mega Man Zero. The battle network games are odd rpgs, nothing at all like the megaman games of yore

Battle Network never did it for me. You should deffiantly try out MegaMan Zero, not only one of the harder MM games, but one of the best. And you MUST try MegaMan and Bass, i have the original Super Famicom version, and it is fantastic to say the least. Bass plays more like Zero and X do, with a dash instead of a slide. And he has a machine gun arm cannon. Anyways, those would be my two picks

Bass and Zero, definitely. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that some day they'll release a port of Mega Man X that does it justice on GBA, instead of the pseudo-acceptable GBC one.

Perhaps a little off-topic... but what's the Gamecube Megaman: Network Transmission game like? Is it oldschool Megaman, or is it like the new Battle Network crap that they've been pushing on the GBA?

Fun fact-the Zero from Mega Man Zero is in the new SNK vs Capcom fighting game on the neo geo ;p

Yeah, it features Megaman.exe from the BattleNetwork games. It's old schoolish Mega gameplay though - sidescrolling, Mega Buster action and it has GBA connectivity with the portable BN games
