I got this in a bundle of games on ebay and it doesnt work. The guy says he will refund me the value of the game on ebay, which he claims is somewhere around $1.00 (and I wouldnt doubt it if it is) so I thought I would check for myself and I cant find any auctions for it. I also cannot find any completed auctions for it, nor is it listed on half.com. Whats the deal? Even the crummiest of crummy games can be found on ebay and half.com!

Yes T-Mek is very rare. It's one of the rarest games for the system. I know I'm still looking for it (boxed of course). It's also the only home version I know of.

There was also a version for IBM PC/compatibles. I know this because I bought it several years ago. I had some problems running it on the PC I had at the time. I lent it to a friend a few years ago, and almost completely forgot about it until you reminded me just now. :)

I've got the PC version. It works great and is very authentic to the arcade (from what I can remember.)

I have it on the 32X, it's ok, I play it once in a while, but grow bored of it quickly, I have tried it on 2 player mode with a friend and that makes it much better. But, it is rare and IS worth more than a buck, if only because it is rare.

Have you tried cleaning the cart first with some isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a q-tip first? Most of the time that will do the job. It's rare for me to come across a dead cart.

As for T-Mek's rarity. It's definately worth more than a buck. I have almost all the U.S. 32x games except for two: Spider-Man Web of Fire and World Series Baseball Starring Deion Sanders. I'd rank T-Mek's rarity in the next group of games along with Star Trek Academy/Primal Rage/Pitfall The Mayan Adv.

I tried cleaning it up, and I still get the same error:

EXCEPT*ON ERROR
CPU BUS ERROR
TASK WAS @ VPRT
RAM FREE EXCCUDFNF STACKS>5580

And then it locks up.

geez, I've never heard of such an error. :?
Other games work OK?
It's not some sort of import or pirate copy or something?
T-Mek is worth WAY more than a buck. Watch yourself and don't get scammed.

All the other games work fine. Its just this one. I emailed the guy a couple days ago and told him that I'm pretty sure its kinda rare and worth more than a dollar and I haven heard from him since. :ponder:

I've seen errors like that ion my home-made Mars 32x in a VCS case combo... but that is only because it is a piece of shit!

Seriously, it sounds like a bad data transfer from the cartridge. I have a 32x-Genesis combo that I hardwired together with ribbon cable and I haven't finished testing my soldering. I get errors like that on a few of the games I have tested, but they work fine on a regular 32x.

Try cleaning the contacts with an eraser or steel wool, that might clean them up a little better. Don't use a soap pad steel wool like SOS or Jets though. Make sure that you clean up any loose steel wool fibres in the cart afterwards as well if you do use wool.
