Picked up the following games (08/01/03):

Shining Wisdom
Dragon Force
Shining Force III
Shining the Holy Ark
Albert Odyssey
and
Panzer Dragoon Saga

each @ $7.99

The previous week I found Megaman 4 and Bomberman ($7.99 each as well).

The nice thing about the store is that they do not price the games to reflect a collector's stand point but rather a selling price point. And, yes, they are aware of the games value (that is to say that these people know what the games will fetch on eBay or from another collector).

Man why can't I ever get that lucky? I'm still looking for a PDS for a decent price.

Ha! I'd be more interested in that Saturn MegamanX4 than anything else, but really, that's a swell grab.

I trust you'd nab Megaman8 for the system as well if you saw it? It has a few extras that the PSX version lacked. Supposedly has more colors too.

Congrats on that great haul. I'm jealous :P Not only do those games sell for a ton on eBay, they're also fun games to play. Saturn Bomberman is one of the best party games on any system (10 player support!), and Dragon Force is one of my favorite games of all time. I wish I had a game shop around me that priced games like that. The closest I've ever come to that was when I found a couple of copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $10 each at the swap meet.

The store carries mostly modern systems (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube). I went in Friday to pick up Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox) and happened to see the Saturn games. I would say the majority of their business is modern games.

One of the employees told me they had tried to talk the person out of trading the Saturn games in. So, I assume this person had no interest in what they might have been worth. Some people don't care...although I'd like to have known what he traded them in for.

Only complaint (not picking on smokers) is that the Saturn game instructions smell very bad and some of the cases have a brownish/yellow tint to them. Isn't noticeable in the pics but very apparent in person. Letting them air out over the weekend.

Most are forgettable anyway...unless you like collecting titles like Space Jam, MANX TT, High Octane, etc. I’m always curious why people suddenly get the urge to just dump a lot of nice titles at once and in this case for a trade-in price that would have been even less that what I paid to purchase them.

One thing I like about the Saturn is those cases. Like oversized Jewel cases. So pretty. How big are they? Are they the same size as a DVD case?

Twice as big. And from what I've seen, easily prone to fracturing.

I figured they'd be hard to replace. But are they really that big? Can someone show me a comparison to a DVD case? I'm curious now.

And if you could also compare it to a CD case and a Neo-Geo cartridge... ;)
