I find that I am addicted to any game, be it Arcade, PC, or Console based that involves a gun. Don't give me any of that Freudian baloney, but please give me your recommendations for some classic systems that have good light gun games. I'm specifically looking at the NES and SNES for more classic systems, but am equally interested in more recent fare, e.g. Sony PSX, PS1, PS2, N64, Gamecube, XBox, Sega Dreamcast, etc.
Keep in mind that I would not be buying these systems for any other reason but to play gun games. I posted this in Classic for the classic stuff, and here for the more modern systems.

Thanks,

Jim

I'm a huge fan of gun games too. I'd never own a real one but give me a photoelectric plastic thing any day.

Here's some of my faves:

NES: Gotcha

SMS: Gangsterland (Gangster? I can't remember exactly and I'mnot at home to look)
SMS: Wanted

Sega CD: Lethal Enforcers I &II
I wish I could recommend Mad Dog Mcree but my copy won't let me calibrate the gun so it's unplayable.

DC: House of the Dead II
DC: Virtua Cop 2 on the Sega Smash Pack
I'm still trying to get a copy of Confidential Mission so I'm not sure how that is.

the Sega Master System has a load of good gun games

Safari Hunt (Duck Hunt ripoff, but with much more variety and action)
Gangster
Missle Defense 3D
Rambo
Rescue Mission

and those are just off the top of my head, there are more

I'm with liquid sky, The House of Dead 3 for the XBox is a great game and House of Dead 2 is also included. So far, HOD3 is the only lightgun game on the XB. Starsky and Hutch comes out in the next month or so though and that's a driving game that uses the lightgun in the 2 player mode. One player drives and the other shoots with the lightgun. Virtua Cop 3 is also rumored to come out for the XB in 2004.

that just reminded me of an old arcade game... of similarity. i forgot the name, but one person drove aswell as shoot and the other could just shoot. Man this is bothering me, I can't place my finger on the title.

Lucky and Wild was a pretty innovative arcade game. One player drove while another player manned the gun.

Also, I think I saw the newest Resident Evil game for PS2 bundled with a light gun. Looks intriguing

Do they still make "Light" guns? As in the NES kind? I thought everyone moved to Infrared. Or did I miss a whole lot of stuff over the years?
