Well, they are.

First of all, Spice.

Spice is an awesome orange color. I love orange. And wish my GCN was Spice.

And another color I just discovered at Lik-Sang.. Symphonic Green.

Apparently, it's for a game. But the color is pretty cool if you ask me. Not your plain black or purple or even platinum/silver.

Anyone know what the RGB or HSB values of these colors are? I wouldn't mind getting paint in these colors and doing a little hack job on something with these colors. If only there were a way to get a custom made spray paint color. Especially that Krylon Fusion paint that's made for plastic.

If only I were rich, I'd have each of those colors imported along with a Panasonic-Q. That thing is sweet.

Ooo... I like the mint color. Actually I'd like a GC in a nice iMac blue, but the mint green would be cool too.

Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather just have a black Gamecube. Also, as far as I know, the GBA Player is only available in black in North America, and I'd rather have stuff that matches.

I also think custom cell phone faceplates are very lame, and that PC's with windows in the case are really stupid... Perhaps I just can't appreciate technology as an artform.

Incidentally, I find it annoying when consoles are made in different colors... because then you have a harder time maintaining the theme. I have the transparently (Glacier I think) GBA, and my brother recently bought me a nice battery pack/charger for my birthday, but the battery is white, which sort of taints the color theme that the system had going. Of course, it still works, and I'm not going to return it or anything. Having to tell people you specifically want a certain color when asking for a present seems odd and wrong to me.

Too bad the GameBoy Player doesn't really match the black Cube either...

It is a different black - or a different finish, so it reflects light differently. Nothing really too noticeable or disagreeable, but I did notice before I was even finished hooking it up.

@Jasoco: If you wanted to try something different on a console which isn't as permanent as spray paint: Console Skins

I'll probably be ordering a few of these this week, I'll post a review if I do.

since Nintendo's psuedo official color is red, i dont see why they dont release any red hardware. I thought the Virtual boy had a great look to it.

and ive said it before, im sick and tired of black electronics, it looks like platinum is starting to be standard now, and Nintendo is the only company making a platinum console, but i too am a sucker for color, and am a proud owner of a bondi blue iMac :)

My iMac was Ruby. It was a beautiful red.. DEEP red color. Looked ery beautiful. Now I just have a white iMac, but I will always miss being able to choose my own color.

As for Red consoles, I'd like a red console if it were a deeper darkish maroon red. Not bright 255,0,0 red. But a little deeper.

I think they have a special edition GBA SP that's red, don't they?

What I didn't like was the GBA (Original) initial color choices. White was the only one I would have even been comfortable playing, but I didn't like them much. Same with the original first GBC color. Atomic purple clear. I got one, but would have rather had that green lime one that came out later on.

Nintendo should have a build to order option. ;)

Actually, I like the colors Sony is using for their special edition PS2's. They're really nice. Even the ones only available in Japan. This is why people do paint jobs.

If my iMac didn't have a 3 year warranty on it, I'd be painting it right now (As the first year is over.)

Edit: Irony of Ironies. A commercial for shoes was just on. Running shoes. Available in multiple colors. People DO want to pick a color. Nintendo saw this. Apple saw this. Now everyone else sees it. It's everywhere.

Lucky you! Technically Apple tells the retailers they have to destroy the stuff so it doesn't end up on eBay. But they never do and they end up on eBay.

All I have is a Pro Create Quicksilver G4 poster, a LIVE iPod poster and the Jaguar furry "X" poster.

Oh, and a Movie poster reprint for the movie "One Hour Photo"...

...uh.. and since this is a gaming site, an eReader poster, Mario Sunshine poster, CRAZY TAXI (DC) poster and the centerpiece of my collection, a GoldenEye 007 poster (Bigger, not paper and has the slots for the sticks on the ends. No sticks though.)

Got them all from my old job at a Toy Store. If I had only known better, I could have gotten an original Game Boy light up sign.

Now I work at Kmart and can potentially get a lot of neat stuff. The Nintendo Rep gave us little promotional GCN/GBA "cubes" that fold and change. Neat-o-rino.

SUBJECT CHANGE!!!

So many people work at stores where Nintendo reps just come in and hand out cool shit.. damnit, I need to go work at a video game store part time just so I can get in on the goodies!

Told ya there was a red one! And I knew there would be black too! Yay! I'd like a GCN in that red color, actually. It's kinda nice.

There's also a very cheesy looking Famicon colored GBA SP, with red and gold, but in very limited edition...
