how do I enable a joystick for this emulator? My mouse works fine, but I cant seem to figure out how to get a joystick to work. I read the docs that came with it, but as usual, unless I already have a good working knowledge of the emulator, its useless to me. Thanx!

AFAIK, the joystick support is always on in the latest versions of z26, unless you turn it off with the -j0 switch.

Check that your joystick is correctly configured in the Windows control panel (I'm assuming you're using the Windows version of z26)..

 There's an Emulation forum on AtariAge

Yeh, thats what I was wondering. What is the command line 'command' for turning it on? I tried what it siad in the docs, but it didnt work. Ill go mess with it again and see what I can come up with. The joystick works fine in all my other emulators, I just cant get it to work on this one. Is the command ' -joystick' or '-j2'? :?

If you are using the latest version (2.10), you don't need a special command to turn on the joystick. The first two joysticks in your Windows control panel should be used automatically for emulating the Atari joysticks unless you specifically turn them off.

The joysticks need to have two axis and at least one button, which I think is true for all USB joysticks. Currently the SDL library seems to use the Windows multimedia functions for accessing the joysticks instead of DirectX. Maybe this doesn't work for you? Or maybe the joystick you want to use isn't the first in your Windows control panel?
