CD scratches question

Will those light scratches disturb the gameplay? My Resident Evil Code: Veronica used to be a rental, and when you shine the back in the light, you can see the scratches. It plays okay to where I've gotten, but is there the chance it would mess up later? Ditto for other CD-based games.

Its always possible it could mess up your game. Considering your game has played fine it will probably be fine all the way through.

That's what I was figuring. I just played more of it, and it ran smoothly.

I have a copy of Coolboarders 2 that looks like it fell down a cliff, and it plays fine (too bad I can't stand the game).
