Quick review - BUY THIS GAME!

I just bought it today, and am now playing the 10th Anniversary edition of Virtua Fighter. Essentially, its Virtua Fighter 1, with all the current characters of VF4. The character models, backgrounds, music and feel of the game is 1993's version of 3D, but it runs at a silky smooth 60fps, and it blows away every version of VF on the Saturn and Genesis. Sega was very generous including this for free with VF4:Evo, and IMHO is worth the 20 bucks for this feature alone. Ill write more when i get a chance to play more with the regular game

I agree, this is a great game! Even if you've already got the original Virtua Fighter 4, this is worth getting, especially considering it's only $19.99. It's the best 3D fighting game that I've played!

whats the difference between VF4 and evo? is it REALLY worth going and picking up? oh, and can you use saved charaters from the original VF4 or do i need to build up Nina all over again?

Nina?? Yeah I had a great time building up Ryu but I could never get the dragon punch to work in VF4 maybe i'll try Yoshimitsu :wink:

From what I've been able to tell, the character models and backgrounds look a little cleaner. Gameplay wise, it's not quite as floaty as VF4. For the money, it's totally worth it, especially when you consider we're probably gonna throw down for an X-Arcade stick...

In terms of balance, VF4 Evo is more of a sequel to VF2 than VF3 ever wished it could be. Fun, fun game.

sadly, you cant transfer your VF4 character to Evo, but the quest mode is much more fun to play than Kumite. You go from arcade to arcade fulfilling quests and entering tournaments

there are two new characters, and no more jaggies

my only little complaints

the music was redone, and every BGM song has this obnoxious guitar player

the announcer is now the same guy that voice acts for jacky, i liked the older sounding announcer from VF4 more

while you can customize your characters with items, you cant take your character and play against somebody else on a different memory card, huge oversight

but thats it, as i said before, the 10th anniversary VF is worth the price of admission alone, and its only 20 bucks, go get it
